Transport & Accomodation

How will you and your boat get here and where are you going to stay? Three rather important aspects when deciding whether to enter an event, fear not we have some information for you here.

Early arrivals can sail and use facilities at WPNSA between 23rd August – 2nd September by paying a daily rate at reception.

Boats can arrive at WPNSA no earlier than 23rd August, any containers must liase with WPNSA office to arrange delivery in advance of arrival – there is no equipment on site to help with loading or unloading of containers.

Road trailers can be stored in the compound but they will not be directly next to the boats due to space, shipping boxes will be next to boats.

We aim to offer competitors transporting boats from outside of Europe a retrospective discount towards their entry fee at registration to make the transport costs more affordable.

Car.
A very popular method of transport in the UK, the adjacent car park at WPNSA will be accessible to competitors during the event.
Post code to use for your Satnav is DT5 1SA – please remember to drive on the right side of the road (the left side).

Fly.
Weymouth is 120 miles (200km) Southwest of London Heathrow and Gatwick where most long haul flights will arrive. There are more local airports in Bournemouth, Bristol and Southampton which fly in and out of many European destinations. Once at the airport car hire would be the simplest way to complete your journey.

Ferry.
Portsmouth, Plymouth and Poole are the nearest ferry ports, with boats coming in from many European destinations and within 2 hours or so drive of the venue.
Dover, Folkestone and Harwich are also popular routes but around 4 hours drive from Weymouth.
